DRAPER, Utah –
The Utah National Guard’s 145th Field Artillery Battalion is scheduled to participate in live-fire, artillery-training exercises from 6:00 a.m. until midnight, Mar. 31 and April 1 and will conclude April 2 by noon at Camp Williams, Utah.
The artillery shooting exercises will include daytime and nighttime shooting to provide training that prepares our Soldiers for real-world scenarios. Shooting at night helps our Soldiers develop the necessary skills to operate in low-light conditions. Many military operations occur in darkness, and it is crucial that Soldiers are prepared for all situations.
The Utah National Guard is committed to ensuring the local community's safety during these exercises. The artillery firing range has been designed and built to ensure that all rounds are contained within the range and that there is no danger to the public.
While the shooting exercises may cause some noise disturbance, we want to assure the public that training our Soldiers for any possible situation is crucial to individual and unit readiness. We appreciate the understanding and patience of the local community during these exercises.
