On behalf of the Utah Training Center's commander, welcome to Camp Williams.
Professional training environment located just 26 miles south of Salt Lake City, Army Garrison Camp Williams is a National Guard training site operated by the Utah Army National Guard.
Utah Training Center consists of 24,000 acres of combat-training areas resembling the same types of environments encountered by those currently serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. Training facilities include small-arms-weapons firing ranges, artillery-firing points, demolition, grenade and crew-served-weapon ranges.
Urban environments include the Mac MOUT Shoot-house, dismounted/mounted maneuver areas and a forward operating base. Leadership and individual training is enhanced by utilizing our rappel tower, leadership reaction course and Afghan village.
Camp Williams is also a great place for specialized winter, desert, mountain, and amphibious training. Most of this training can be conducted within a 50-mile radius.
Utah Training Center support facilities include administration buildings, mess halls (fully equipped if desired), classrooms, and a complex of warehouses, workshops, and maintenance facilities.
Morale and Welfare Operations include a Service Members Club, Officers Club, barber shop, fitness center, volleyball courts, mail services, swimming pools, Connex Cafe, and an AAFES post exchange.
Training at the Utah Training Center at Camp Williams is complemented by its sister facility at Dugway Proving Ground.
