Utah National Guard conducts nighttime helicopter training at the Army Aviation Support Facility

WEST JORDAN, Utah — The Utah National Guard is committed to keeping the public informed as it conducts vital nighttime helicopter training operations at the Army Aviation Support Facility, in West Jordan, Sept. 18-21, 2023.

This training will occur on and around Dugway Proving Ground, ensuring that there will be no aircraft training conducted directly over the Salt Lake Valley. However, please be aware that aircraft may return as late as 1:00 a.m. local time.

While these nighttime flight exercises may result in some noise disturbance, we want to emphasize that these operations are essential to ensure the preparedness of our Soldiers for any possible situation. The safety and readiness of our personnel are our top priorities.

We deeply appreciate the understanding and patience of our local community during these exercises. Your support is invaluable in enabling us to maintain the highest level of readiness to respond to assigned missions, both at home and anywhere in the world.

The Utah National Guard is proud to serve as a premier, community-based force composed of dedicated and trained citizen-Soldiers and Airmen. We remain steadfast in our commitment to safeguard our communities and serve our nation.
