Utah National Guard to Host the 2023 Governor’s Day Review at Camp Williams
DRAPER, Utah – The Utah National Guard is scheduled to host Governor Spencer J. Cox, Sept. 9, 2023, at Camp Williams, Utah, for a traditional military event. This year marks the 68th year of this event where the Governor, and senior military leaders, will review the troops in a traditional ceremony signifying the readiness of the Utah National Guard. The ceremonial events are scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. on Sept. 9, on Tarbet Field, at Camp Williams.
This year will be a unique ceremony, it is the first time that the Utah National Guard will host a delegation from a foreign country, who will participate as honored guests at the ceremony. 2023 marks the 20th year anniversary of a successful and growing partnership between the Utah National Guard and the Kingdom of Morocco, and to commemorate the anniversary senior leaders from the Royal Moroccan Armed Forces will join Utah’s senior leaders at this Governor’s Day event.
In addition to the ceremony, the Utah National Guard is scheduled to host a variety of attractions for the families and those attending the event. A small car show, rock climbing wall, military capabilities displays, and food vendors will be available to all attendees after the official program.
The Utah National Guard as a premier, community-based force comprised of relevant and trained citizen-Soldiers and Airmen, are proud to host Gov. Cox, our Moroccan partners, and our families during this event, and showcase a traditional military ceremony signifying military strength and readiness to support operations within the state and throughout the world.
