Utah National Guard’s 640th Regiment, Regional Training Institute conducts live-fire exercise at Camp Williams
CAMP WILLIAMS, BLUFFDALE, Utah –Utah National Guard’s 640th Regiment Regional Training Institute will conduct a live-fire artillery exercise at Camp Williams, Jan. 30 to Feb 1, 2024.
Soldiers from 3rd Battalion, 640th RTI, will be shooting live rounds from M109A6 Paladin howitzers and M777 howitzers as part of instructor training and certification.
Given the nature of the event, artillery fire will likely occur sporadically throughout the day from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Artillery exercises are not open to the public.
Those expected to be most affected by these events are residents of Bluffdale, Riverton, Herriman, Eagle Mountain, Saratoga Springs and Lehi.
