SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - A Utah Air National Guard KC-135R Stratotanker assigned to the 151st Air Refueling Wing, Salt Lake City, Utah prepares to refuel a B-1B Lancer assigned to the 28th Bomb Wing, Ellsworth Air Force Base, South Dakota, January 9, 2019. The KC-135 was first introduced into the Air Force inventory June 1957. It serves multiple roles including air refueling, medical evacuation, personnel transportation and is capable of carrying up to 83,000 pounds of cargo. The Utah Air National Guard provides air refueling to various Air Force, Joint Service and Multi-national services throughout the world.
