Utah National Guard Aviation Battalion Training Prior to Deployment

DRAPER, Utah - In preparation for an upcoming deployment, the Utah National Guard’s 1st Battalion, 211th Aviation Regiment will be conducting day-and-night training flights this week, and are expected to complete them on Friday, April 3. Heavy flying periods will occur during the hours from 2:00 p.m. until 2:00 a.m. Multiple UA-64 Apache helicopters are scheduled to make daily flights for gunnery and support mission training into the early morning hours each day. This required training is needed prior to the unit’s deployment coming up in the next few months.
