FORT CARSON, Colo. - Spc. Adam Barlow, Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 65th Field Artillery Brigade, and a Utah Army National Guard staff sergeant from 19th Special Forces Group (name withheld for security) complete the mystery event during the Region VII Best Warrior Competition held at Fort Carson, Colorado May 17-21. The mystery event was summiting the Manitou Incline Trail which is a steep incline constructed of railroad ties that gains over 2,000 feet of elevation in less than a mile. Both Barlow and the Special Forces staff sergeant won the Region VII titles of Soldier of the Year and NCO of the Year respectively.
