PROVO, Utah - Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) for the Family Justice Center, Karen Evans, explains to the Victim Advocate and Leadership Summit participants the importance of her profession and working with sexual assault survivors and victims on August 23, 2022. A SANE professional provides sensitive and comprehensive healthcare for a sexual assault survivor while collecting forensic evidence in case the survivor wishes to pursue a law enforcement investigation.
