SALT LAKE CITY, Utah –
What: Members of the media are invited to observe the Utah National Guard’s Joint Task Force 97 COVID-19 mobile testing site where Utah National Guard’s soldiers and airmen have been working.
Since March 2020, the Utah National Guard has provided support to the state of Utah and local health departments to stem the spread of COVID-19. Today, the Utah National Guard has approximately 275 service members who continue to enhance the state’s capabilities in the areas of COVID-19 mapping support to contact tracing, mobile testing, facility assessment and training and warehouse operations.
In response to the new “State of Emergency” declaration, the Utah National Guard is coordinating with the state to increase support in contact tracing and COVID-19 testing.
Who: Col. Tammy Manwaring, commander of Joint Task Force 97, will be available for interviews outside of the JTF 97 command center.
Where: JTF 97 command center is located at the Cannon Building / Utah Department of Health at 288 N. 1460 W, SLC, UT 84116.
When: Tuesday, November 10, 2020, at 11:30 a.m.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all attendees are required to adhere to the governor’s Executive Orders 2020-72 and 2020-73. All attendees must wear a face mask and abide by social distancing guidelines.
