151st Air Refueling Wing Deploys More Than 120 Airmen

By Lt. Col. Kevin Larsen 151st Air Refueling Wing

Approximately 120 Airmen and four KC-135 Stratotankers assigned to the 151st Air Refueling Wing, Utah Air National Guard, are scheduled to deploy from Roland R. Wright Air National Guard Base April 5-6, 2021, to U.S. Central Command in support of Operations Inherent Resolve, Freedom’s Sentinel and Spartan Shield.

The Airmen will support aerial-refueling missions, which extends global reach and power, and significantly increases the lethality and sustainment of air power.

"Our Airmen are prepared to deploy and execute a mission of national, regional and global significance,” said Col. Kurt Davis, commander of the 151st Air Refueling Wing. “The year 2020 presented us with some unique and challenging circumstances to navigate through and prepare; however, our Airmen are ready to serve, and we are incredibly proud of their commitment."

The Utah National Guard is a premier, community-based force comprised of relevant and trained citizen-Soldiers and Airmen who are ready to support contingency operations worldwide.
